Susan M. Webster, Executive Director

Sue joined the Northwest CT Public Safety Communication Center team, in April 2006, as our Executive Director. Sue has an extensive background in Emergency Medical Services. As the Operations Manager for American Medical Response, she managed an operation of 30 Advanced Life Support ambulances and two Paramedic Intercept vehicles within the Waterbury and Northeast CT Divisions. Prior to her role as the Operations Manager for AMR, Sue worked as the Quality Improvement Coordinator, Communications Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Paramedic, and as a Telecommunicator, all with AMR, since 1987. From 1990 to 1992, Sue worked as a Paramedic and Shift Supervisor for New Britain EMS. Sue received her Paramedic Certification from Mattatuck Community College, Waterbury, in 1990, and has held Instructor Certifications in CPR, ACLS, PALS, NAEMT—PHTLS, and in Emergency Vehicle Operations. She is currently certified in System Status Management, as a State of CT Telecommunicator, a NAEMD—Emergency Medical Dispatcher, and a NAEMD-Q. Her many memberships included EMS and Communications Oversight Committees for various towns and territories including:
  • National Emergency Number Association (NENA), CT 1st Vice President
  • Managers of Emergency Communication Centers Association (MECCA), Vice Chairman
  • Regional Emergency Communication Center Association (RECCA)
  • Region 5 EMS Council, Treasurer

Sue loves to cook and is a life long Boston Red Sox fan. She has been married for 21 years to her husband, Tim, a retired Connecticut State Trooper, whom she met in high school. They reside in Bristol with their son, Taylor, age 18, and their two Wheaton Terriers.
