Prospect,
CT - On July 11th the Northwest Public
Safety Communication Center (also known
as Northwest CMED) held an open house
at their facility in Prospect, CT. Excecutive
Director Susan Webster and her staff
hosted the event, inviting all the emergency
service organizations that the center
serves. A large tent was set up in the
parking lot, where tables and chairs
were set up for the attendees to enjoy
some snacks and refreshments. NWPSCC
Dispatcher Keith Griffin acted as Executive
Chef, overseeing the food service preparation
and presentation. Meanwhile inside the
dispatch center, Communications Manager
Steve Savage provided tours of the recently
updated communications center, showcasing
their state of the art capability.
The event
was well attended by various personnel
from the region, and attendees were
provided with some souvenirs by Director
Webster.
Northwest Public Safety Communications
Center serves nine towns as the Primary
911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)
as well as the EMS CMED radio needs
of twenty-two Western Connecticut communities. |
